Nick hails from Holland, Michigan and started playing guitar at 13 years old. After earning a Bachelor's degree in music from Central Michigan University, Nick moved to Chicago to study and work, before finally finding a home in San Antonio in 2015. Nick is a passionate guitarist and instructor who loves connecting with students of all musical tastes.  He has been teaching private lessons for over 15 years.

Nick actively plays guitar and sings as half of the close harmony duo, Midwest Armadillo, with co-owner Andrew. You might also see him zipping around town on his sweet moped or playing with his dog Buddy.

Andrew was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio.  He started playing trumpet in elementary school, and in high school moved to trombone and bass guitar  performing with a wide variety of ensembles including his church's band and the high school jazz ensemble.  Andrew studied trombone and ethnomusicology at Central Michigan University. He spent a semester studying abroad in Budapest, Hungary and after graduating went on to live and teach English at a small school there.

Andrew moved to San Antonio in 2015 to teach middle and high school music, and is a passionate classroom and private music teacher.

Andrew is an active performer on a number of instruments and also sings in Midwest Armadillo.  You might also find him walking with his pack of dogs (including  a dog-like cat),  climbing something, or trail running.
