Nick
Reuben is a native of San Antonio, with a long career as a local music educator and performer. After earning his degree in music from UT Houston, Reuben worked for Remo and Bruno before becoming a band director for Edgewood ISD, in middle and elementary school for nearly three decades.
Reuben's passion for music shows in his wide range of experience and knowledge for all genres of music. He has been a part of bands such as Mozambique and Texas Weather, and actively drums for Wayne Martin and Midwest Armadillo.

Nick hails from Holland, Michigan and started playing guitar at 13 years old. After earning a Bachelor's degree in music from Central Michigan University, Nick moved to Chicago to study and work, before finally finding a home in San Antonio in 2015. Nick is a passionate guitarist and instructor who loves connecting with students of all musical tastes. He has been teaching private lessons for over 15 years.
Nick actively plays guitar and sings as half of the close harmony duo, Midwest Armadillo, with co-owner Andrew. You might also see him zipping around town on his sweet moped or playing with his dog Buddy.
Andrew was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He started playing trumpet in elementary school, and in high school moved to trombone and bass guitar performing with a wide variety of ensembles including his church's band and the high school jazz ensemble. Andrew studied trombone and ethnomusicology at Central Michigan University. He spent a semester studying abroad in Budapest, Hungary and after graduating went on to live and teach English at a small school there.
Andrew moved to San Antonio in 2015 to teach middle and high school music, and is a passionate classroom and private music teacher.
Andrew is an active performer on a number of instruments and also sings in Midwest Armadillo. You might also find him walking with his pack of dogs (including a dog-like cat), climbing something, or trail running.
